2.Sholay
===========

Yes the famous 70s Hindi movie 'Sholay' was shot here. That's how this place got famous. Ramagiri hills or Ramadevara Betta is a rocky hill located near the town (3 kms from the main road). You need to climb 400 steps to reach the top!

The hill has forests and bushes so keep an eye for birds. This area is also important for vultures which are highly endangered.

There is no place nearby to buy snacks (which is great in my opinion)! Few begging kids (just ignore or pay them,your wish)

There is a temple at the top of the hill. And no fee required. The views from the top are really great and relaxing. So,overall a nice place for a quick weekend visit from Bangalore.

3.Nandi Hills

Best Place and 1st must to see places in Bangalore

Funtastic & excellent place in Bangalore to visit early in the morning. This is one of the must visit place who should not miss if we are travelling to Bangalore. Sunrise view and clouds view are just mind blowing and after viewing this you would not like to leave this place at all. Inorder to reach this place you need to drive Ghat road and you can drive your car almost till peak of hill. Vehicle movement or parking is available only after 6 AM and inorder to reach or view this we must definitely try to reach before Sunrise or else within 6 AM itself. The road view is very thrilling and very good with nice chilling breeze. This place will be mostly crowded on Weekends and it would be better to go on weekdays to avoid the crowd and enjoy the time.

4.Savandurga

===================

We visited by bike from Electronic City. Started by early morning. It generally takes about 2.5 hours to reach the place. The bike route through Nice road followed by Mysore Road is a treat for bikers considering the quality of road or the scenic beauty.
Coming to Savandurga hills, it is quite steep and hence difficult to climb up hill. It does consists of 3 levels of trekking up the monolithic rocky hill.
What's more dangerous and tedious is climbing down after you are exhausted.
There are arrows provided throughout the trekking zone which needs to be followed, else it can lead to trouble for people including fatal injuries.

Overall, the largest monolithic rock of Asia is a great visit for all trekking lovers and also ones who appreciate scenic beauty. But it ia possible that one might not be able to complete the trek to the top as its quite tiresome and tedious task.

Trek safe friends!!

5.Anthargange
==============

This is a very good day trip from Bangalore. Takes about 2 hrs to reach via NH 4. A trek of about 1.5 km takes you to the top of a hill, passing through a temple about half way. Once up, the caves are almost hidden. Once you enter, there are all sorts of narrow passages and crevices to crawl through. Kids loved it. Inside the caves, it is quite cool too. On the other end, there is a beautiful view point where you can sit and admire the landscape for a while. We went in a group of about 4 families and everyone had a blast. I would highly recommend going with a guide since you can probably get lost easily in the caves if you don't know your way around. Plus you may need help to pass through some of the passages and haul yourself up some big boulders. We went with Woody adventures, and they were awesome. They know the place well, were kid-friendly

6.Skandagiri
===============

- Easy trek of less than 4km (moderate for the first time trekkers)
- trek starts at 4AM, you will reach in 1.5hr to top
- It's specialty is sunrise, so it may not be worth if you do trekking during noon, best in early morning
- you will see clouds below you and slow motion of sunrise (that's too lovely)
- take water and torch with you (1Litre is sufficient, but carry more as per your requirement, bcoz you won't get anything on the way)
- no camping or bonefiring allowed
- If doing morning trek, have light woolen cloth with you bcoz chill air will make you feel cold, and can make you shiver

7.Manchinbele
